Learn More About St John’s Tillsonburg
Welcome to the website for St. John’s Anglican Church in Tillsonburg, South-Western Ontario. We’re glad you found us, and we are pleased to share some of what is special about our community — a community growing in commitment to live our daily lives as followers of Jesus.

St John’s is a mid-sized parish: large enough to offer a broad range of ministry opportunities and activities for all ages, yet small enough that we really get to know and care for one another. We offer Christian education, fellowship, and formation opportunities for children and adults. We are active in our community through various outreach programs including partnership on a community kitchen feeding program.

In our expression of faith and fellowship, everybody is welcome. Everybody has a place at the Lord’s table in this growing Anglican family.

Our Sunday worship includes an early meditative, said-Book of Common Prayer service and a mid-morning traditional Eucharistic order from the Book of Alternative Service, with a choir and congregation that loves to sing to the accompaniment of our newly refurbished pipe organ and a growing Sunday School for children of all ages. Mid-week, we have a more intimate chapel service featuring dialogue sermons. We also offer occasional evening worship services.

As believers, we make faith matter in our lives. We trust that the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ is moving among us and within us. Prayerfully, our parish family is walking together to see where God is leading us and inviting us to journey with Him.

We hope you will use this site as a resource to learn more about us, and we look forward to meeting you in person and perhaps welcoming you as part of our community.

Learning and Growing in Christ

As we learn more about Jesus Christ and His plan for our lives, the more open we can be to serving to his will for us in this world. We have Church School for children and youth and Bible Study for adults to enrich our Sunday and weekly service times.

Engaged in Outreach and Fellowship

As Jesus Christ taught, we at St John’s desire to reach out and serve those amongst us and those outside the walls of the church, where needs are great.
And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’ – Matthew 25:40 (NRSV)

Rejuvenating Our Facilities

St John’s is a church for today. We honor the beauty of our heritage while recognizing the need for renewal. We recently completed an update of our entire worship space including meeting rooms, wheelchair access and renovations to our washrooms and hall to help us meet the needs of our current times.

We Look Forward To Welcoming You To Church!
